The indigenous trees to this area are the mighty Maples, Poplar, Pines, Oaks, Ash, Cedars and Birch.
The property has not been harvested of the timber.
The Potomac River flows through the property in a north/south diagonal direction.
The property enjoys about 550 meters (1630 feet) of shoreline on the river.
The owner has stated that there is beach like sand on the property.
Our mapping programs show that the river averages from 50-70 feet in width.
About 24 acres is on the east side of the river and the rest of the property (about 16 acres) on the west side of the river.
According to the MNR “Fish-on-line” website the river has Walleye and Northern Pike fishing , however we have reports of trout being caught in the river.
The access to the property is excellent via a municipal road (Chiblow Lake Road). There is not a driveway into the property.
The property has about 200 feet of frontage on the road.
This not just flat land but rather a rolling type of terrain that slopes down to the river and then on the other side of the river it slopes up.
Getting to this property is easy.
If you are coming from the west, say from Sault Ste. Marie then drive east on Highway 17 about 117 kilometers or 73 miles to the Town of Iron Bridge.
From Iron Bridge to Sudbury it is 198 kilometers or 123 miles.
From Iron Bridge it is a short 5 kilometer or 3 mile drive to the property.
This region boast a myriad of outdoor recreational activities: golfing, hiking, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, horseback riding, biking trails, boating, fishing, and hunting. Snowmobilers have access to over 600 kms of groomed trails.
For the anglers, there are plenty of lakes in close proximity to this property; Alma Lake, Darrell Lake and Chiblow Lake just to name a few.
These lakes produce trophy Bass, Walleye and monster Pike.
For the game hunters, hunt a plethora of small and big game animals ranging from moose, black bear, deer, water fowl and partridge.

Iron Bridge History
In 1886 the town was originally called “Tally-Ho” and when the new bridge was constructed, the name was later change to Iron Bridge. This was the first iron bridge built in Ontario. When this area was first settled, it was rich in farming and later mining and logging came about. The town and surrounding area has a population of approx. 650 residents. This area is known for its undulating landscape with beautiful picturesque waterfront views. Also, just a quick 16 minute drive west of Iron Bridge, you may want to check out one of only three 12-sided barns in Canada.
