Where is Allen Lake?
Allan Lake is a lake located just 37 kilometers or 23 miles northwest from Kapuskasing, in Cochrane District, in the Northern part of the Province of Ontario.
From Opasatika, Kapuskasing is 40 kilometers or 25 miles to the east and Hearst is 59 kilometers or 37 miles to the west.

We offer a deeded patented 1.14 acre property on the east shore of Allan Lake.

The property is improved with 2 bedroom frame cottage that is in good condition.
The cottage has a metal roof.
A wood stove.
Wired for power for a generator and with propane back up.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed and bedroom 2 has 4 bunks.
There is a dresser in each bedroom.
An open concept kitchen/living room.
The kitchen has a full size propane fridge and stove and a sink with running water, a counter plus a kitchen table with 4 chairs.
The living room has couch, chair, end tables, coffee table and other odds and ends.
There is a bathroom which has a shower, sink and a porta potty for the small kids and ladies.

The front door of the cottage leads to a fair sized mud room that has a sitting area, a large closet, a small extra propane fridge and patio doors that lead to the main part of the cabin.

Water is pumped from the lake to a holding tank out back of the cottage and is pumped into the cottage.
There is also a propane fired hot water tank.

A NEW and IMPRIVED outhouse featuring HIS and HERS sides was built in the fall of 2016.

Outbuildings include a shed which also has a loft area up top.

The property grounds are well kept and the trees within the grounds provide lots of shade where needed.

HOW DO YOU GET HERE?
There are four different ways to get to this cottage on Allan Lake.
You can FLY IN
Land your float plane right in front of the cottage.
You can BOAT IN ON THE LAKE
Go west of Opasatika on Highway 11 for for 7.3 kilometers (4.5 miles) until you get to McGowan Road.
On Highway 11 go north on the McGowan Road for 13.7 kilometers (8.5 miles), take the right fork and drive for 3 kilometers (1.9 miles).
Turn right onto the Neely Haul Road and drive for 10.8 kilometers (6.7 miles).
Turn right on the gravel road and drive for 1.9 kilometers (1.2 miles).
Launch your boat, park your vehicle.
Boat across Allan lake for 3.5 kilometers (2.2 miles)
OR
BOAT IN FROM THE OPASATIKA RIVER
At Highway 11 and the Opasatika River you can launch your boat, park your vehicle in a secure area and boat north on the river for 25.2 kilometers or 15.7 miles to Allan lake and then over to the cottage.
You can ATV IN
Drive by truck and then ATV to the property.
Drive west of Opasatika on Highway 11 for for 7.3 kilometers (4.5 miles) until you get to McGowan Road.
On Highway 11 go north on the McGowan Road for 13.7 kilometers (8.5 miles), take the right fork and drive for 3 kilometers (1.9 miles).
Turn right onto the Neely Haul Road and drive for 23.7 kilometers (14.7 miles).
Get onto the trail on the right and drive for 5.8 kilometers (3.8 miles ) at the creek park your truck and take the ATV.
From this point it is a 4.8 kilometer (3 mile) ATV ride to the cottage.
You can SNOWMOBILE IN

LIKE FISHING?
Whether you’re an avid fisherman or just someone who enjoys casting a line among an abundance of natural beauty, you’ll love fishing the clean waters of Allan Lake.
These Northern waters of Allan Lake are teeming with Walleye (Pickerel), Perch, Northern Pike and Muskie so you’ll be eating tasty fish every day if you want.

From Allan Lake you can also fish the Opasatika River and Zadi Lake.
Naturally, we believe that this part of Northern Ontario is one of the premium places on the planet for fishing.
If you love winter then you may as well visit your cabin in winter and go ICE FISHING.

If hunting is your outdoor sport of choice, we offer bear, moose, wolf, rabbit, and partridge hunting. Those who prefer to hunt with a camera will be enthralled by the wildlife encounters that take place here on a routine basis. Canoeing is another favorite activity of many of our guests.

LIKE HUNTING?
If hunting is your sport of choice, then you will look forward to prime hunting for moose, black bear, wolf, rabbit, and partridge hunting in this area.
Use the cottage as your home base and go hunting from there.
Those who prefer to hunt with a camera will be thrilled by the wildlife encounters that take place at the cottage and in the area on a routine basis.

LIKE CANOEING?
You can canoe Allan Lake , Zadi Lake or get on the Opasatika River and canoe for many kilometers or miles.
