Missanabie (48.300°N 84.083°W) is a community in the province of Ontario, located in the Algoma District at the northern terminus of Highway 651, just outside the boundaries of the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve on the shore of Dog Lake.
>Missinabie is easily accessible by paved roads and is located a mere 70 miles from Wawa.
Dog Lake has a surface area 03 13,209 acres (HUGE) and it offers world-class fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Lake Trout, Perch, and Whitefish with streams and portage lakes that are stuffed with Brook Trout.
There is also outstanding big game hunting for Moose and Black Bear.
Within minutes of the YURT one can fish for walleye (pickerel), northern pike, bass, lake trout, brook trout, some lakes even have rainbow trout.
In the fall hunting locations for moose, ruffed grouse (partridge) and bear are all nearby.
